Teazzers, a beverage bottling company in Dallas, TX, discovered late that the labels for their bottled tea and beverages – as supplied to the printer – did not conform to FDA and certain state labeling regulations.
The designer had not consulted the printer’s specifications when building the files – there were 9 labels in all, and the wrong software was used; all 9 were originally set up in Photoshop, where the printer required files in Illustrator.
A complete overhaul was necessary. A team of three in the print studio tackled the task, in consultation with the printer, making the necessary adjustments. Once the printer approved the revised label, it was used as a template for the remaining 8 labels.
